    Beet and Raspberries Smoothie

Smoothie με Παντζάρι και Σμέουρα - Beet and Raspberries Smoothie

I don’t usually publish smoothie recipes. I think most of us now know how to make a delicious, filling and nutritious smoothie. But there are some combinations that I like so much, that I feel I have to share them with you, such as this beet and raspberries smoothie. I don’t think I have ever made a smoothie more times than this one  😀

Respectively, favorite combinations are the fig and pistachios smoothie, the green tea, grapes and peach smoothie and many more that you can find in the recipe category here.

Today’s beet and raspberries smoothie also contains spinach, non-dairy (or dairy if you prefer) yogurt, plenty of ginger and banana. To sweeten it a bit I use lucuma powder, but by all means you can add whatever sweetener you want. It is so filling that many times I have eaten it for lunch this summer. 🙂 It is also very nice for breakfast.

I use the store-bought steamed beets, it is a convenience. Sometimes I have added oats, or flaxseed.

Put the ingredients in the blender in the order I mention, start at low speed and then increase it. If all your fruits are from the freezer, it turns out quite thick, almost like a nice cream. And you do not need to add ice afterwards. I always have bananas in the freezer for such occasions, and the raspberries I use are also frozen, from the supermarket.
