You really loved the previous post about the basic recipe on how to make granola with what you got in your pantry. Today’s recipe for vegan chocolate granola with coconut and hazelnuts has been in my pc for a long time. Finally it’s time to post it. I think it’s the yummiest granola I’ve ever made. Not only is it delicious in milk or buttermilk for breakfast, or in a smoothie bowl, but it is also very easy to dive in and eat it from the jar! 😉 Do not be prevented by this confession and do try it. 😀 Worth to be tested!
I like this granola more with buttermilk, or homemade milk kefir. The milk quickly becomes almost chocolaty and immediately gets flavor from the granola. You can understand the taste, right? It is an infinitely better and healthier breakfast for your children than store-bought cereals. If you do it once, you’ll want it all the time.
If you want your granola to be gluten-free, replace the oat flakes with buckwheat flakes, or any other gluten-free flakes of your choice.
Beyond a delicious breakfast and a really delicious snack, it is also a wonderful gift in a jar with a beautiful bow. The recipient will love you for life!
Vegan Chocolate Granola
The yummiest vegan chocolate granola with cocont and hazelnuts
Ingredients
- 210 gr. oat flakes
- 100 g grated coconut
- 100 g roughly chopped hazelnuts
- 40 g dark chocolate drops
- 2 tablespoons cocoa (preferably organic)
- 120 gr. maple syrup (or honey if you are not vegan)
- 55 gr. coconut oil (melted)
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and lay a large baking sheet with non-stick paper.
In a large bowl, mix oats, coconut, hazelnuts, chocolate drops and cocoa.
Pour over maple syrup (or honey), coconut oil, vanilla and mix thoroughly.
Spread the mixture evenly into the pan and bake for about 25 minutes until it gets lightly browned. Stir well halfway.
Remove it from the oven and if we want your granola clustered, let it cool down a bit and then break it with your hand. Otherwise, stir it as it is hot to dissolve the clusters that have been created.
Notes
If you want your granola to be gluten-free, replace the oat flakes with buckwheat flakes, or any other gluten-free flakes of your choice.
