    Liebster Award

    Liebster Award

The wonderful blog Glykoplasteion Neanikon and of course Aris who’s behind it, recently honored me with the Liebster Award. I admit that I did not know anything about it …. But when I read Aris’ post, and after I consulted my good friend Mr. Google, I was completely updated. The Liebster Award, therefore, is a virtual prize which is awarded by new bloggers to new bloggers, so that blogs with less than 200 followers can become known. Looks like an online game, but actually serves to make new blogs more known.

Within the whole process I will have to answer to ten questions, namely to get a mini interview of myself 🙂 :

    1) Why did you start the blog?

Cooking relaxes me. I always liked to experiment and try new recipes. Blogging is the only way to share your experiences in cooking with those who have the same hobbies as you.

    2) Tell us a bit what excites you?

Many small things … .. a hilarious meeting with friends, kindness which does not wait return, the inspiration for photographing the most unlikely places, and many more …

A! and when I succeed a recipe I ‘ve thought, without many tests! There’s an excitement! 😉

    3) Why do you think the comments and communication help bloggers and how?

Comments from readers are proof that someone reads what you write. Moreover, it is a form of communication among bloggers, especially when not in the same city, or country. Any advice, reward, criticism, or question makes us better; it encourages us.

    4) For what things you are talking on your blog?

I suggest healthy recipes and information about the beneficial properties of food. I would like people to know that to eat healthy does not mean tasteless and boring dishes. With a little imagination and familiarity, our diet can be changed for the better, very easily. We should eat, as much as possible, nutrient dense foods and avoid the “bad” and processed foods. That’s half the battle.

    5) You have created a friendly relationship with other bloggers? You’ve never met in person?

Yes, and I’m very happy about it! I met personally with many, especially through my participation in some of the actions of food4good. But I hope to get to know others soon!

    6) How do you imagine your blog in two years? What would you like to see growing / changing and how?

I have too much on my mind, but I do not know what will eventually take place. I would definitely try for the best!

    7) What do you do best?

Difficult question … maybe someone else should answer for me.

    8) How much time do you devote to your blog?

More than I expected … but I’m having fun!

    9) How are your posts inspired?

Most often the inspiration comes from a particular material; other times, from a very interesting recipe that I find somewhere and  wonder if I could go further with it.

    10) Wishes for the reader.

Health, happiness and a lot of free time to read our posts!! Especially for fellow bloggers, I hope they have inspiration, spirit and fellowship!

I would like to thank Aris very much for this award! If you have not yet visited Glykoplasteion Neanikon, please do. He doesn’t stop surprising me with his ideas and “ingenuity” in the setup of recipes.

Now it’s time to tell you my own 10 proposals for the award ( I apologize to my non-Greek readers because some of these blogs are only in Greek):

Initially, I would like to propose Aris, because he does an excellent job. Also, I recommend Chryssa and her blog my blissfood, and Tania and The Green Mixer, for their enjoyable posts and their delicious recipes. Then, there is Jasmin and Jasmin’s Cookbook with her sophisticated vegetarian and vegan recipes, and sweet Aggeliki and her blog Cookika with her quick and very tasty dishes.

Since the Liebster Award, is not awarded only to cooking blogs, I love to award  friends with whom we decided to start our blogs together, with completely different contents, and since then they keep up with consistency. They are: News from Dafni Hymettus Municipality, Ellidees, Fantasia, Syntages Omorfias and Fylologikon Gymnasium.

Finally, I would violate the rules a little bit (after all many say they were made for this … ..) to even suggest an award, like an honorary Oscar (!!!), to a blog that exists for many years and certainly has more than 200 followers,  Pepi’s Kitchen. Just because Pepi is my friend for almost twenty years and I love her! 🙂

See you in a few days with a new recipe. Until then, have fun!
